Adventure Overview

Welcome to the World of The Dragonlance Chronicles!

You have received an Invitation to a Funeral.

Your friend, Ispin Greenshield, a good natured traveller and adventurer, has died, and you travel to the Solamnic village of Vogler to say your final farewells. Ispin wished only to have his life celebrated in a simple way, with close friends from the lands he travelled joining together one last time for festivities and shared stories.

However, the trip to Vogler is far from safe. The roads of Krynn, these days, are fraught with danger. Magic is not as certain as it has been in times past. Marauding bandits take what they want from traveling caravans. Goblins and other dark creatures have become more common in recent memory. And, most troubling of all, war clouds are gathering in the East.  Something in shadow is stirring up the darkness. And the light is slowly fading…

Can you survive the Road to Vogler, or will you instead join your friend in death?

What You Need

You’ll need a computer, access to Wi-Fi, and a microphone. Video is preferable but not required. Roll20 is the virtual table-top I’ll be using for this game. I’ll also use D&D Beyond for building/keeping track of characters, and Zoom for communication. There’s no fee required for any of these tools, and there is plenty of help available to aid with any questions or problems you might have.

Having a copy of the Player’s Handbook is recommended, but not necessary.

Character Creation

For this one-shot, we will use 1st lvl pre-generated characters so that we can get right into gameplay and begin our epic adventure! This adventure will focus on role-play, basic mechanics  and combat.

What to Expect

A beginner-friendly adventure that will teach you some the basic mechanics of playing D&D 5e while introducing you to the immersive element of Role-Playing.
