D&D 5e Adaptation with The One Ring flavor (Free League Publishing)
Hearth-born heroes of humble beginnings (Level 3)
4 clever hobbits, wandering dwarves, or curious tall folk
“A cozy yet curious call for adventure!”
The kettle whistles. The pies are cooling. And somewhere deep in the pantry, a curious letter from Bilbo Baggins awaits your eyes.
Mad Baggins is at it again! This time, he’s calling on a secretive circle of friends—the Conspirators of the Red Book—for an errand that begins at second breakfast and just might end with a tale worthy of the ages.
A legendary map, a locked Mathom-house, and a mystery too big for the Bounders. Pack your courage, bring your wits, and don’t forget your pocket handkerchief.
D&D 5e, adapted using The One Ring content from Free League Publishing
The Shire and nearby lands of Eriador, in the peaceful twilight years before the War of the Ring.
Our story takes place in the quiet hills and hidden corners of The Shire, a land of simple joys and complex gossip. But under the sweet surface of this hobbit haven lies a tangle of secrets waiting to be discovered—especially if you happen to be one of Bilbo’s “trusted troublemakers.”
Expect a tone of lighthearted mischief, gentle mystery, and folkish adventure. This campaign leans into storytelling, exploration, and wonder—not massive dungeon crawls or world-ending perils.
This adventure merges the heart of The One Ring RPG with the accessibility of D&D 5e, creating a uniquely charming system:
Choose your Heroic Culture: Hobbits of the Shire, Dwarves of Durin’s Folk, Rangers of the North, and more.
Pick a Calling (like Warden, Captain, Scholar, etc.) to define your strengths and path.
Select a Background (e.g., Gifted Senses, Wordweaver, Healing Hands) that adds narrative depth.
No traditional spellcasting. Healing, lore, and other boons come from items, skills, and talents—keeping the magic rare and subtle.
Resting & Recovery takes narrative forms—meals, stories, songs, and peaceful moments matter.
Shadow & Fear can accumulate, reflecting your character’s inner journey.
Travel, riddles, and social intrigue are core mechanics; combat is rare but meaningful.
Expect to:
Sneak into places where you’re definitely not supposed to be
Decode riddles, local lore, and tea-fueled rumors
Get caught up in village gossip, family secrets, and barrow-born legends
Embark on a tale of cozy courage, heart-first heroics, and whimsical wonder
This campaign is for players who enjoy story-first play, clever problem-solving, and the comforting tones of a crackling hearth beside danger just over the hedge.
Bilbo’s latest scheme? Recovering an ancient map of the Shire, rumored to have been drawn by the Old Took himself. The problem? It’s sealed away in the Mathom-house of Michel Delving, and you’ll need to “borrow” it without waking half the village or attracting the attention of the Shirriffs.
It all starts with a letter, a teapot, and a twinkle in the eye.
Will you answer the call? Will you rise to the occasion and go… Underhill and Over Yonder?
First time playing with Madelyn, and she really understands the importance of player agency and collaboration. She even just had a check in with me at the 10th session to see how the game was going. And to see if there was anything she could improve on or I wanted to see in the game! I am really happy that I was able to get into one of her tables! I definitely recommend her for new and veteran players!
Panthea has done a great job DMing for our campaign! It had been a long time since I’d played an online RPG and she took the time to help me set everything up and answer all my questions. Our sessions are always a lot of fun and keep me invested in the characters and the story. She has a discord server where players can become more engaged if they want, and share their art projects or build their characters.
Panthea DM’d Curse of Strahd for me, my fiancé and a couple of other people we didn’t know. She provided a great experience, especially since some of us were newer players. It was easy and comfortable to ask questions about making a character, things I wanted to tie into my character, and how to play a TTRPG overall. We even asked to continue after Curse of Strahd!

As a player, I whole heartedly agree with previous reviewers' feedback about Panthea (Madelyn) as a GM. Time is a valuable resource and as a player you're getting a great value experience at Panthea's game table and discord server, whether you are new to virtual table top role playing games or someone who has been playing dungeons and dragons since the early editions (like myself).
Let's be honest about the world we live in: it is difficult to find a GM you feel like you can "connect" with at the table that checks most (or all of the boxes) in terms of player engagement, and it is doubly hard to find a player group where the chemistry is ALSO good. The community Panthea has developed facilitates an environment where all parties (newbies and veterans , players and gms, alike) can interact in a way that promotes positive growth for everyone. At least in my limited VTTRP experience the past few years, I can see a very noticeable difference in the types of interactions I can expect from Panthea's community.
Shout out to Panthea for creating this special place where we can also make new friends and have fun together with shared storytelling!
(AND If it wasn't already obvious, I am really enjoying (2) games at Panthea's table right now!)

If you're like me, you probs were nervous about committing to the whole paid game concept. I was too, and I immediately came and read reviews to scope out the vibe of each GM. Let me tell you, you will do no wrong joining a Panthea game. Panthea (or Madelyn) immediately set the tone in our interactions on my signing up for one of her games. She was extremely kind and supportive. Through her adventurous and exciting games, I have gotten to experience Foundry VTT firsthand. She has been very patient and helpful in my understanding of this system. Through Panthea, I have also joined a wonderful Discord service full of fun, positive, D&D-loving people that have always made me feel welcome. And it goes without saying that she is an amazing, trustworthy GM. She has worked with me on any questions or concerns I have had, and I have never felt unwelcomed or unwanted in her community. If you're looking for a D&D group to call home, one where you can have a great time and meet like-minded people with similar passions, then sign up for one of Panthea's games. You won't regret it!
Panthea was so wonderful to play with for our friend's event. She ran such a smooth game even though we had a couple new folks and no experience with the software! It was so fun to reconnect to distant friends with her quick and creative guidance. She handled our left fielders with grace in spite some of my doofus rolls!
Madelyn led a super fun, lighthearted, & immersive one-shot campaign for my birthday celebration. Our group largely consisted of some veteran table-top players, and Madelyn was absolutely incredible! I look forward to embarking on future campaigns with her, and highly recommend others do the same.

As a first time online rpg player (and as someone awful at using electronics) she has been incredibly patient and thorough as a DM. She always takes the time to walk people through anything they don't understand and helps with every step of the process. Our sessions are always a hoot and so much fun. Highly recommend.

Madelyn (aka Panthea) is a wonderful DM who cares about her players and strives to make gameplay enjoyable. She is patient and really helps new players learn and understand the game as the campaign progresses. If you are a new player, a veteran player, or somewhere in between, I think you will enjoy playing a campaign with Madelyn.

I enjoyed playing with Panthea, I’m new to RPG, she made the story come to life and it was easy to understand and play. I would definitely recommend newbies and experienced gamers to play with her.
The death house was my favorite experience in the game.
