Adventure Overview: 

Townsfolk are terrified of a mist that has been invading in the night. People have come up missing every time the mist descends. Recently a young noble girl has gone missing and the family has set out a private investigation company to bring her back, that trail has come up cold. Yet another job has come in to investigate a haunted manor to which the family has gone missing entirely and the heirs to the property along with it. As you head up the trail towards the manor you are surrounded by the mist, suddenly left on the other side a world devoid of life almost devoid of all color. You can see a looming castle in the distance, you feel as though your presence has not gone unnoticed. There a darkness has found you like no other… you are marked. Prey to an evil that does not sleep.

This adventure is set in the classic demi-plane of Barovia. Many horrors await the characters, a dark lord oversees these lands. The adventurers have been brought here for a reason. Perhaps it’s destiny, to free the people of this place and bring back the sun OR it’s to their demise, prey that the dark lord can hunt for sport.

What you need before your first session? 

1. A working microphone and access to a computer
2. Be able to connect to discord for audio and material handouts
3. A free Roll20 account setup
4. A level 3 character (Created in dndbeyond or Roll 20 Character Vault)***

What does the GM provide? 

1. A dedicated discord server for the game. With channels dedicated for resources, questions, and other contact needs.
2. Maps, handouts, character sheets are all provided through Roll 20. I will also guide you on setting up your character tokens to represent you on the maps.
3. Personal guidance. If you need to setup a time one-on-one to create your character or hash out your idea. Or wish to run the idea by your fellow players. I provide a space for those still learning the game.

Character Creation Guidelines

Players will start at Level 3 and stats will be stat array/point buy. You can use dndbeyond or the charactermancer in Roll 20. OR setup a one-on-one and I’ll guide you through character creation.

Who will like this game?

Players who enjoy exploration and mysteries. This is a perfect horror themed game with a setting that is vastly gothic horror. If you like gothic horror tropes with vampires, werewolves and other nocturnal creatures this game is for you.

GM Guidance/Details

This game is designed to take you from level 3 to level 10. There are a lot of dark themes in this campaign every character and place has been touched by a dark past. It is a classic campaign, one of my personal favorites. The players destiny is determined by a card reading. In this reading will give the characters their objectives and goals perhaps even secrets to destroying the greatest evil in this land.

Generally this is a game of good against evil, good aligned or neutral characters would be best for this setting.

We have currently re-launched the campaign, generally new players mixed with a few experienced. A good time to jump into the game at a fresh starting point beginning of the story arch.
