About the Adventure

Alright, doves, gather ’round and listen up! Welcome to Waterdeep, the city where dreams come true… if your dream is to get swindled in a dark alley or step on some rogue’s discarded banana peel.

First up, we’ve got the “Dragon Heist.” Think of it as the ultimate game show where you’re trying to find a hidden fortune. Spoiler alert: It’s not under your couch cushions. But hey, if you play your cards right, you might just end up richer than that one aunt who never stops talking about her “investments” at family gatherings.

But don’t pop the champagne just yet, darlings. Because just when you think you’ve hit the jackpot, we’re diving headfirst into the “Dungeon of the Mad Mage.” Imagine the most confusing IKEA you’ve ever been in, but with more monsters and fewer meatballs. This place is so vast and mysterious, even Morgan Freeman’s voiceover would say, “I ain’t narrating this maze, y’all on your own.”

Will you strut out of these escapades with your head held high and pockets full? Or will you end up as Waterdeep’s next top meme? “Remember those fools who tried to bribe a dragon with a Groupon? Classic.”

So, slap on some lipstick, fluff up that ego, and let’s get this party started. And remember, if all else fails, at least you’ll have one hell of a story to tell.

Join the heroes already registered, on their quest to turn Waterdeep upside down – literally and figuratively:

  • Cadam Trilveril, the Half-Elven Fighter/Celestial Warlock, chosen by an angelic patron for an undisclosed destiny,
  • Pippen Quickfingers, the Halfling Arcane Trickster, writing weekly for the Shadow’s Quill broadsheet,
  • Yerwin Waywocket Buren-Turen the 6th, Deep Gnome Noble Bard of the illustrious Buren-Turen Family,
  • Broth, the Bugbear Gloom Stalker / Monk out to tame his inner beast on the anvil of Waterdhavian nights.

Bring your own PC, or choose from 9 pre-made characters:

  • Flagon of Eyle, the tavern-brawling Barbarian from the village of Eyle,
  • Grim Lynn, the toymaker Goblin Artificer,
  • Herbert Gardner, aka Herb Garden, the urban druid,
  • Honey Manko, the Tiefling Wild Magic Sorcerer, working the days at Sune’s Festhall, and adventuring her nights away,
  • Larien Silvershade, the Silent Rain Mercenary, an excellent tactician and legendary dragon-chess player,
  • Lord Alden Greycastle, the sage turned Monster Hunter Ranger, deadly with a crossbow,
  • Valinda Tlabbar, the Ravenclaw, Drow Bounty Hunter Bladesinger, master of the spear,
  • Zayne, the Canary, Zamakis, Cleric dealing death and life through the agency of her canary familiar,
  • Zephyr Gale, the stage magician Air Genasi with a flair for drama.

Waterdeep nights await. Come join us!

REQUIRES TALESPIRE: This game requires all players to own a copy of Talespire. Making and importing your own miniature using Heroforge is highly recommended. Don’t know how? – I can walk you through. 😉

I finished out the last Dragonlance campaign and started the Waterdeep Blues campaign with Emmett as the DM. There were some of the best and most memorable fights I’ve ever played as a character! And the roleplay is never boring or lackluster. His attention to detail and encouragement of the creativity of the players surpasses all. You can tell that he prepares so much for the games and that allows us as the players to think of almost anything we want to do and actually do it! As Emmett has said before “tell me what you want to do and we can figure out how to make it happen”. Even when the group derailed the campaign (all in good fun), Emmett went with it with a good sense of humor. Overall, I can’t recommend him enough!

Emmett is an awesome GM! He is able to tailor the adventure to the players and is always responsive. He spends an amazing amount of time crafting an adventure and his master of GMing is unsurpassed in my experience.

Highly recommend Emmett as a DM, he’s very good at going beyond the source material to make the sessions submersive, using musical cues, descriptive cut-scenes and expanded encounters.
