About the Adventure
Step into a world based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe, The Snow Walkers. Players follow in the footsteps of a famous group of explorers, known as the Red Drakes. They leave the pocket realm of the Scarlett Ring to investigate a frozen wasteland. They must brave Frostfall Pass in order to find out what became of the Drakes and their secret mission.
In part two, Beneath the Black Rose, the adventurers engage in a tale of vile rituals and ghostly vengeance.
The story continues with The Curse of Wardenwood, a story of a deep woods rescue mission with a bewitching twist.
The campaign concludes with The Horror Within. a story of cosmic terror and madness in a blighted theater.
There are elements of horror and the occult in each of the four modules.
This mini-campaign will go from level 5 to level 9.
What if you’ve never played an RPG, what is it like?
My games are player-driven, putting you and your character at the center of the plot. Your choices will decide the outcome: from heroic victory to an untimely end. We’re here to tell a great story that makes you feel like you’re in your favorite book or movie.
What do you need to do before the first session?
Upon sign up, we’ll connect and make sure you can begin fleshing out your character ideas, and that I can support you with questions about any of the tech programs that will be used in-game.
What does the GM provide?
I provide access to the D&D Beyond source materials. In addition, I provide game-specific handouts and other materials to enhance your gaming experience.
Character Creation Guidelines:
For this campaign, there are a couple ways to create characters. There are characters included with the adventures that may be handed out to each player ahead of time, or you are welcome to create your own characters. They begin at level 5.

This campaign includes elements of horror and the occult. Players familiar with the works of Poe will understand the tone of the adventures. There may be some disturbing material, as is often the case in the horror genre. However, the game-world is how you make it out to be and player perspective is highly encouraged. Beginners welcome!
I had never played a dungeon crawl, and Matt was kind enough to host a one shot so I could play one! We gathered a table of great players and had a fantastic time exploring an exciting dungeon beneath a tavern. Matt is always looking out for his players, and willing to answer any questions. He’s transparent, honest, and fast friends with everyone. It was a good time.
Matt is doing a fantastic job with my game. He is welcoming, creative, and laughs easily. The game runs smoothly; he makes it look easy. He is asks for feedback and looks for ways to improve, so this will just get better and better. Huzzah!
I’ve been playing D&D in all of its incarnations since the early 80’s and I’ve been known to GM’d a module or two. As a player, I love the way Matt runs his sessions and really lets the players to play their characters to their fullest. I have a bad habit of doing unconventional things (within the rules and spirit of the game) and handles it perfectly. As a GM, I have nothing but the utmost respect for what he brings to the player, he’s always prepared and ensures that all the players are engaged and enjoying themselves. Once this series finishes up, I’m looking forward to playing another adventure with him. Matt is a Rock Star!
