The HALLS of ARDEN VUL 

a Mega-Dungeon

After three hard days’ march from the town of Newmarket,

the setting sun illuminates a thunderous waterfall pouring down

the fabled cliff face of Arden Vul. Two colossi carved into the cliff to

the right of the waterfall stare stonily across the valley. A twinkle of

sunlight catches on the rocks … is it the spray from the falls? or could

it be the glint of metal moving up the cliff? There’s only one way to

find out … Adventure awaits!

Merchant Lord, Father Giddeon Quay has been sanctioned by the temple of Istus (god of fate & destiny) to search for long lost relics of the Baklunish peoples.  Long ago the Baklunish people and the Suloise Empire were at odds (…and still are really). Arcane practitioners called down devastating spells assaulting much of the Sule peoples, but the goddess Wee Jas (goddess of magic & death) in a moment of anger called down The Rain of Colorless Fire; a cataclysmic event that devastated both peoples.  Many scholars have searched ancient tomes or the stars for answers as to why the goddess of the Suloise people would hurt her own worshipers while exacting vengeance against the Baklunish occultists, and many still search for answers.

This archeological expedition is searching for just that.  A combined effort by strict Suloise monks and this optimistic Baklunish priest bound by a unique interest to delve deep into Arden Vul in search of answers that have been lost to time.

Arden Vul is a MEGA-DUNGEON not for the faint of heart!  The book was started in 2009 authored by Richard Barton, but needed an elite cadre of gamers to polish its 1122 pages!  (fun for CHARACTER LEVELS 1st – 12th)

There is NO WAY, a group will make it all the way through.  YET… I will constantly offer the opportunity to delve into this living campaign of the Mega Dungeon.  I’ve made some alterations to fit it into the world of Greyhawk and tailored some of the artifacts & relics that are lost to time deep within the numerous layers of traps, monsters, demons, and ancient avatars of forgotten gods.

This game will be run in 1st Edition AD&D;  I have all the 1e rule books in pdf form and can share them with players so everyone may upkeep their characters or if curious, learn more about the 1e game system.

**If you have only played 5E DnD.. do not worry!  I can acclimate you to the “system-shock”.  I’ve played both systems quite a bit and shifting back and forth isn’t as tough as it sounds.

**This game focuses on Dungeon Delving, so there are quite a few traps and puzzles to solve as well as monsters to quell.

**I’ve set up the backstory to allow folks to jump in and drop out as they see fit.  A revolving door is perfectly fine with this style of play.
