About the Adventure:
You’ve been changed. And you’ve been closed off from the world outside the walls. Whatever remains out there… it’s all dead to you. The only thing that matters is the Zone, and surviving in it. That is until an unexpected transmission come the Elysium IV enclave. It was attacked and destroyed a century ago. But now, there’s something called Genlab Alpha, and you need to uncover the truth.
Learn-To-Play MYZ game:
This is a single-session one shot game for beginners! Don’t worry about knowing the rules, that’s my job. You can simply join, play, and have fun in an immersive, collaborative storytelling experience.
What if you’ve never played an RPG, what is it like?
Our games are player-driven, putting you and your character at the center of the plot. Your choices will decide the outcome, what each character decides to do, and how the story ends. We’re here to tell a great story that makes you feel like you’re in your favorite book or movie.
What do you need to do before the first session?
Upon registration, please join the Discord server via the link provided in the registration email.
Feel free to begin thinking about character concepts. The GM will answer any questions you have in the associated Discord channel.
What does the GM provide?
The GM provides access to the source materials and anything else necessary for play.
What tech does the player need?
A microphone and webcam/camera. Video is recommended, but not required.
Headphones for output audio are recommended.
Character Creation Guidelines:
The GM will provide a set of pregenerated characters, but you’re also welcome to create your own. If you need assistance, your GM is always able to help or answer questions.

This game includes typical fantasy and post-apocalyptic themes that one may find in stories like Mad Max and Book of Eli. Murder and violence in this context are found throughout.

EJ runs a great session and does a great job of explaining Call of Cthulhu in a way that helped make the game make sense and handed over autonomy very quickly!
Technology – smooth and effortless Discord to supplement theater of the mind and an optional ambient background player created a really casual yet immersive vibe.
Story/Characters – with an easy lead-in and a nice range of pre-made sheets, it was easy to dive in while still customizing characters just enough to give them enough personality to shine in a one shot. The gameplay is fast and smooth, keeping things progressing quickly with clear impact to the world based on our decisions.
EJ was very welcoming and friendly, and really runs a great one-shot. I’d highly recommend giving him a try if you want to learn a new system!
I’ve been playing in a campaign run by EJ for a few months now, and I have to say, it’s hard to imagine playing with another GM at this point. His high level of knowledge and expertise, combined with the mutually respectful (and silly!) environment he cultivates in every group makes for a consistently enjoyable gaming experience. He is so approachable, friendly, thoughtful, helpful, patient, *and* funny.
To put it simply: if you aren’t playing with EJ, you are missing out!
I played in a level 5 one shot with EJ and one other player, it was an excellent experience. The game had great storytelling details, an interactive world, dangerous combats, and player agency. What more could you want in D&D?
I was part of a recent campaign and EJ did a fantastic job. The storytelling was great, and the encounters were engaging. Excited to get back in and play again.
I had an amazing one shot last night and I had a lot of fun. A small group of people but it was still very entertaining and engaging. Answering any and all questions we had and made it very easy to play! Would def recommend!!!
