About the Adventure

Adventure Overview:

Let’s learn how to play D&D!

What better way than with a seemingly simple assignment: escort a caravan from Phandalin to Neverwinter. And there some merchants along for the ride, and possibly some bandits along the road. But…that’s what you’re here for. We get through, and you get paid.

A simple enough task, however, things are always more complicated (especially because you’re a bunch of rookies, just make sure to point your bows downrange).

The session will last 2 hours, and will take you and your squad through a great first timer focused experience.

What if you’ve never played an RPG, what is it like?
Our games are player-driven, putting you and your character at the center of the plot. Your choices will decide the outcome: from heroic victory to an untimely end. We’re here to tell a great story that makes you feel like you’re in your favorite book or movie.

What do you need to do before the first session?

Upon sign up, we’ll connect and make sure you can begin fleshing out your character ideas, and that I can support you with questions about any of the tech programs. If necessary, I will provide pregenerated level one characters so you can simply sign up and play.

What does the GM provide?

The GM provides access to the D&D Beyond source materials.

Character Creation Guidelines:

Characters will start out at level one. We will use standard array or point buy during session zero to create our characters. If you don’t know what this is, that’s ok! I’ll help you figure all this out.

I ask that all characters have a reason for needing the adventuring party. I do not allow evil alignment for purposes of encouraging party unity.

Who will like this game?

  1. Players brand new to table top roleplaying! This is a great first adventure.
  2. Players who want to explore a world, discover exciting places, and make complicated decisions.
  3. Players who are interested in developing a story, interacting with quirky, noble, and sometimes nefarious characters.
  4. Working together with other players to solve problems, and have a great time in the process!

GM Details/Guidance:

This game includes typical fantasy themes that one may find in stories like Lord of the Rings. Themes of dark and light abound. Murder and violence in this context are found throughout.

I stared started getting into D&D when 5e started. I didn’t start playing it 3or 4 years into 5th Editions release because of not knowing anyone who played. I played with a group of friends up to when covid started and then for 3 years I didn’t have a way to play. when I met Brian and his group of players, I wasn’t in a good head space. I felt alone but after playing with Brain he became a great friend and dm. he lets you be creative. he doesn’t judge you for wanting to be creative. I’d choose Brian as my GM any day of the week hands down. his ideas are so cool, and I love his style of GMing. his Podcasts are fun to listen to as well.
